Autumn Happenings: @ The Monkey & The Rat !

Alberta Street Last Thursday October 30th - 4pm-10pm
Come experience the music and magic that is Last Thursday on Alberta Street

Day of the Dead Procession - 7 p.m. October 30th
Meet at NE 14th Place and Alberta join this community parade in honor of our beloved dead. Bring candles and photos, and wear skeleton masks or makeup if you like. Dancers, drummers, musicians and performers are welcome.

Side Door Sale at the Old Town Store - 11am-7pm
November 5-9
If you've ever wondered what goes on behind the closed doors to our stockroom, now is your chance to find out.

We're opening our Side Door at 202 NW Davis for a special five-day event from Wednesday November 5th thru Sunday the 9th from 11:00 to 7:00 each day

We've cleaned out our basements and back rooms and found wonderful things that have accumulated over the last seven years. Everything from discontinued items to some cool stuff that's a little shopworn, and some terrific parts and pieces of antique wood carvings and such that can find a new life with the right creative type. Everything is priced to move fast for this one time event, and we will be bringing more stuff out as we go, so shop early and often for some really great deals All sales will be final and only cash or checks will be accepted. Come search out the bargains and be part of the fun.

MERCY CORP BENEFIT:

We are proud to announce that our MercyCorp benefit was successful in raising over $2,700.00 for our new neighbors in Old Town Chinatown!
With over 100 people attending, about 8 musicians, and lots of leftover Thai food, we celebrated.

SUMMER STORE HOURS:

We have temporarily amended our store hours at both locations for the summer months.

We will be open 7 days a week at our Old Town location for the rest of July and August.

We have been keeping our doors open until 7pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

We will be staying open until 7pm on Tuesday evenings
while the Chinese Classical Garden's "Tuesdays by Twilight" Concert series is running.
As a reminder, if you are a member of the Chinese Garden, we offer a 5% discount on any purchase when you present your Membership Card.

As for Alberta Street, we have been staying open into the evening. Our summer hours are:

Thursday - Friday 4-9pm
Saturday 11am-9pm
Sunday 11am-4pm.
We will be closed Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
